Tuesday, January 13, 2015

Merkle Response Management Group(Merkle RMG), a subsidiary of Merkle, a leading technology-enabled, data-driven customer relationship marketing (CRM) firm and the nation’s largest privately held agency, announced that it has been selectedto provide donation processing services to Feed the Children in support of their direct mail fundraising program. Feed the Children is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger. The two-year contract for donation processing services began in June 2014.

Feed the Children chose to outsource this function to Merkle RMG to help the organization process donations even more quickly, accurately and efficiently, and to position the organization to better respond to the needs of its donors. MerkleRMG provides mail processing, electronic check deposits, scanning, data entry, document imaging, and exceptions handling services. The nonprofit also plans to use Merkle RMG’s Arch-e image archive and retrieval tool, whichwill make accessing documents more efficient. With MerkleRMG managing these donation processing services, Feed the Children staff can be more focused on activities that more directly serve the organization’s mission, including the organization’s growing child sponsorship program.

“Keeping up with the volume of donations Feed the Children was receiving and handling them in the most cost-effective manner had become a challenge for our in-house operation. We decided to outsource donation processing to address those issues while also allowing our team to better support our mission of ending childhood hunger. Merkle Response’s strong reputation, excellent compliance record, and ability to scale made them a clear choice to be our partner in this area. Across the industry, Merkle Response is widely recognized among my peers as the best at what they do,” said Matt Panos, Chief Development Officer for Feed the Children. “Since the beginning of our engagement in June, Merkle Response’s performance has been exceptional and they’ve been extremely responsive to our needs. We have already seen a related increase in our fundraising capabilities and are looking forward to expanding our programs as a result.”

“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to support Feed the Children and its important mission. Helping Feed the Children enhance their donor relationshipsand support their programs through efficient, accurate and secure donation processing is our top priority,” said Bill Sayre, president of Merkle RMG.“Merkle RMG’s comprehensive, time-tested approach to donation processing and donor care will allow us to be an effective and long-term partner supporting Feed the Children’s battle to defeat childhood hunger.”
